What we build in Hoffman Estates
Hoffman Estates began in 1954, when Sam and Jack Hoffman of Father and Son Construction bought a 160-acre farm for a subdivision. The first residents moved in late in 1955, on half-acre lots, and the village incorporated in 1959. Those first homes are now about 70 years old and often have their original kitchen layout and a single bath. Newer subdivisions on the village's west side have larger two-stories where owners mostly want to update finishes and enlarge primary bathrooms.
Kitchen and bathroom remodels that change plumbing, electrical or walls need a village building permit. We prepare the drawings, file the permit, and meet the village inspectors on site for rough and final inspections.
Every Hoffman Estates project starts with a free in-home consultation. Rafal measures the space, looks at what's behind the walls where he can, and talks through how you want the room to work. A few days later you get an itemized written quote with a fixed price and a start date.

FAQ
Remodeling in Hoffman Estates
Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen in Hoffman Estates?
If the work changes plumbing, electrical, walls or layout, yes. RD Group pulls the village permit and handles the inspections.
What does a remodel of an original 1950s Hoffman Estates home usually involve?
Often an updated electrical panel and new circuits, replacing old supply and drain lines in the walls we open, and reworking the layout for modern appliances. We include these items in the written quote.
How long does a kitchen remodel take in Hoffman Estates?
Plan on 6 to 10 weeks on site for a full kitchen remodel once cabinets are delivered.
